Turbocharger Rebuild
TurboMost turbocharger rebuilds at Boost Lab, Inc. range from $350 to $900 depending on the turbo size, condition, and required parts. We inspect every turbo before quoting, so you receive an accurate price before any work begins. Inspection is always free with your repair submission.
Our standard rebuild includes full disassembly and inspection, replacement of the center cartridge (CHRA) or individual bearings and seals as needed, cleaning of all components, reassembly, and a pre-ship test. We use quality OEM-spec or performance rebuild parts depending on your application.
Standard turbocharger rebuilds are typically completed within 3 to 5 business days after we receive your turbo and approve the quote. Turnaround may vary based on parts availability. Rush service may be available, contact us to ask.
The most common causes are oil starvation, oil contamination, and foreign object damage (FOD). Dirty or degraded oil leads to bearing wear over time. Debris entering the intake or exhaust can damage compressor or turbine wheels. Boost leaks and detonation can also cause internal damage. We identify the root cause during inspection so you can fix the problem, not just the part.
Yes, when done properly by a qualified shop. A professionally rebuilt turbocharger using quality components performs and lasts as long as a new unit at a fraction of the cost. The key is proper inspection, quality parts, and correct assembly, which is exactly what we provide at Boost Lab, Inc.
Yes. We specialize in diesel turbocharger rebuilds including Cummins, Duramax, Powerstroke, Maxxforce, and International platforms. We serve both individual owners and wholesale dealer accounts nationwide.
Yes. We rebuild variable geometry turbos (VGT / VNT). These require careful inspection and calibration of the vane mechanism beyond a standard rebuild. Contact us with your specific application for details.
Yes. We rebuild both turbos in twin-turbo configurations. We recommend sending both units together so they are matched and at equal service life. Ship both turbos in one package and we will inspect and quote them as a set.
Yes. In addition to OEM-spec rebuilds, we offer performance upgrades including larger compressor wheels, upgraded turbine wheels, and billet wheel options depending on your application. Performance builds are quoted individually. Contact us to discuss your power goals.
Not always. A whining noise can indicate a bearing issue that may only require a bearing replacement. A grinding or scraping noise often points to wheel contact from worn bearings or a bent shaft. We inspect every turbo before determining what work is required, so you are never charged for more than what is needed.
Ship-In Service
NationwideYes. We accept ship-in turbocharger rebuilds from anywhere in the United States. Package your turbo securely and ship to 37833 Pineapple Ave, Unit A, Dade City, FL 33523. We inspect it and contact you with a quote before any work begins. Nothing is done without your approval.
Drain and plug all oil ports before packaging. Wrap the turbo in bubble wrap or foam and place it in a sturdy box with at least 2 inches of packing material on all sides. Use UPS, FedEx, or USPS Priority Mail and insure the shipment for its replacement value. Include your name, phone number, and a note describing the issue inside the box.
Return shipping is the customer's responsibility. We ship your rebuilt turbo back via your preferred carrier and shipping costs are added to your final invoice. We can provide a shipping estimate before you send your unit in.
If inspection reveals your turbocharger is beyond cost-effective repair, we will notify you immediately and discuss options. We can source a quality replacement, provide a core exchange if available, or return your unit. You will never be charged for work you did not authorize.
Fuel Injector Cleaning & Repair
InjectorsOur service includes ultrasonic cleaning, flow testing before and after, and a detailed report showing each injector's spray pattern and flow rate in cc/min and lb/hr. We also perform o-ring replacement and inspect for leaks.
Common signs include rough idle, misfires, reduced fuel economy, hesitation under acceleration, or a noticeable drop in power. Flow testing is the only accurate way to confirm injector health, which we provide with every cleaning service.
For most vehicles, injector cleaning is recommended every 60,000 to 90,000 miles, or sooner if you notice performance issues. Ethanol-blended fuels can accelerate deposits and corrosion inside injectors.
Yes. We accept complete injector sets shipped in from anywhere in the US. Wrap each injector individually and ship to 37833 Pineapple Ave, Unit A, Dade City, FL 33523. Include your name, vehicle info, and any symptoms you have noticed.
Yes. If an injector fails to meet acceptable flow or spray pattern specs after cleaning, we will contact you with repair or replacement options. If it cannot be saved, we will advise on replacement before proceeding.
No. We specialize in gasoline fuel injectors only and do not service diesel injectors. We service top feed, side feed, GDI direct injectors, marine, motorcycle, ATV, and other gasoline applications. Note that diesel turbocharger rebuilds are a separate service we do offer.
A flow test measures how much fuel each injector delivers over a set period at controlled pressure, expressed in cc/min and lb/hr. It also evaluates the spray pattern, which should be a fine, even mist. Imbalanced injectors cause rough idle and poor combustion. We test before and after cleaning so you can see the improvement in data form.
