Description

This turbo features a newly designed Point-Milled Billet 79mm compressor wheel and a performance high flow 75mm Turbine Wheel. This unit comes standard with a ported 5" Inlet / 3" V-Band Outlet compressor housing. A Dual Ball Bearing oil and water cooled CHRA designed to handle high boost operation with ease, water cooling must be used with this turbocharger. The BL79XR is fully assembled and VSR balanced in-house. All of our BL turbochargers come with an industry standard 1 year unlimited mileage warranty.  This unit is in stock and ships same day.

Overview

Introducing the new BL TD06SL2R-20G Billet turbocharger for the Mitsubishi Evolution 8/9! This is a direct bolt on replacement for your OEM turbo with no external modifications required for fitment. The BL TD06SL2R-20G is the perfect direct replacement for the everyday enthusiast or diehard track racer wanting a powerful turbo.  

The popular 20G compressor wheel has become the go-to upgrade for the stock frame Evo 8/9 turbo for those wanting to make the most power in a stock frame. In stock MHI form, the 20G wheel is good but we took it a step further. We reworked the 20G compressor wheel to our specifications, providing more flow and overall power. Made from forged billet aluminum, our wheel features a 6+6 blade count, slim hub, and extended tip exducer. These are just a few of the highlights that give our Billet 20G compressor wheel an extra kick. The TD06SL2R turbine wheel is a jump up from the stock TD05HR. This cuts down on back pressure and allows the 4G63 engine to breathe easier at high rpms. This results in a smooth powerband all the way to redline. To handle this extra power we replaced the stock TD06 thrust bearing with our 360* Monster Thrust Upgrade. New oil drain gasket, crush washers, and turbine inlet & outlet gaskets are included at no extra charge.

This turbo features a newly designed Point-Milled Billet 54mm compressor wheel and a performance high flow 49mm Turbine Wheel. This unit comes standard with a ported 3" Inlet / 2" V-Band Outlet compressor housing. A Dual Ball Bearing oil and water cooled CHRA designed to handle high boost operation with ease, water cooling must be used with this turbocharger. The BL54XR is fully assembled and VSR balanced in-house. All of our BL turbochargers come with an industry standard 1 year unlimited mileage warranty.  This unit is in stock and ships same day.

For an additional $85, we offer a service to weld a 3" V-Band flange to the turbine housing outlet. This option is selected on the first dropdown menu when adding the turbocharger to the cart.

Important: The "Downpipe Flange Options" below the turbine housing selection are not for choosing the turbine housing outlet flange. This option is for customers who are:

✅ Building a new exhaust downpipe from scratch

✅ Adapting an existing downpipe to fit this turbo

DO NOT select both the "T3 .63 A/R 2.5" 4-Bolt" option and the "3" V-Band Downpipe Flange" option together. These are different outlet styles and cannot be combined.
