Overview

Introducing the new BL TD06HR-25G Billet turbocharger for the Mitsubishi Evolution 8/9! This is a direct bolt on replacement for your OEM turbo with no external modifications required for fitment. The BL TD06HR-25G is the perfect direct replacement for the everyday enthusiast or diehard track racer wanting a powerful turbo.  

The popular 25G compressor wheel has become the go-to upgrade for the stock frame Evo 8/9 turbo for those wanting to make the most power in a stock frame. In stock MHI form, the 25G wheel is good but we took it a step further. We reworked the 25G compressor wheel to our specifications, providing more flow and overall power. Made from forged billet aluminum, our wheel features a 6+6 blade count, slim hub, and extended tip exducer. These are just a few of the highlights that give our Billet 25G compressor wheel an extra kick. The TD06HR turbine wheel is a jump up from the stock TD05HR. This cuts down on back pressure and allows the 4G63 engine to breathe easier at high rpms. This results in a smooth powerband all the way to redline. To handle this extra power we replaced the stock TD06 thrust bearing with our 360* Monster Thrust Upgrade. New oil drain gasket, crush washers, and turbine inlet & outlet gaskets are included at no extra charge.

Now the question is, how much power does this BL TD06HR-25G make? If you are on a stock 4G63 long block with bolt-ons, you can expect to see 445hp on pump gas with this turbo (with a proper tune). If you are running bigger cams like the GSC S2's and E85 you can expect to make upwards of 550hp.

Our newly designed turbo oil drain flange allows more clearance for top mounted turbochargers to allow ease of installation and removal. These oil drain flanges are extended 3" in length to put the fitting away from the turbocharger. Our newly designed extended drain flange is machined from military grade Billet 6061-T6 Aluminum. T3/T4 oil drain gasket included for a leak free seal. The Red Edition is hard anodized. 

This flange will fit BorgWarner S200 and S300, most Garrett/Precision/Turbonetics T3/T4 turbochargers, etc.

VSR Balancing

As a critical step in our build process, each turbocharger undergoes precision VSR (Vibration Sorting Rig) balancing using one of our Turbo Technics VSR balancing units. This translates into a stronger power band from mid-range rpm to the top-end horsepower.  A 96x88mm turbine wheel drives this rotor assembly. This unit comes standard with a ported anti-surge 5.5" Inlet / 3" Outlet compressor housing. This unit is available in Journal Bearing only. The Boost Lab Billet BL8088S is fully assembled and VSR balanced at our facility and all of our BL turbochargers come with an industry standard 1 year unlimited mileage warranty.
